The #2 Mayan hammocks are personal-sized Mexican hammocks that are sprang-woven Nylon-string produced by Caribe in Merida in Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. Woven with colorful nylon string, the classic Mayan hammock or hamaca is a light weight, colorful, airy and designed for cross-ways use. As the basic string material is factory produced, the fabrication work on these Mexican hammocks is simplified and the resulting product is quite economical and well suited to a variety of uses. These hammocks are without spreader bars and are not for use in low-attach, up-from-floor hammock stands, and as with all hammocks, are most comfortable and safe with a high end attachment to produce a pleasing catenary angle.
